Clickbait Tactics in Product Listings
What constitutes clickbait tactics?
In the e-commerce context, clickbait tactics are used to induce people to click on a product listing to drive up traffic for the shop. We therefore do not allow clickbait tactics as they are misleading by design. Below are some examples of clickbait tactics that you should avoid when listing products with us:- Listing products in unusual or unconventional quantities or units
- Changing a product's attributes
- Manipulating traffic
- Deceptive pricing practices
- Incentivising positive reviews
What happens if I breach these guidelines?
If you are found to violate these guidelines, you may have enforcement actions taken against your account.
