  1. What is Promote?

Promote is a lightweight promotion tool, that relies on TikTok content ecology to help long tail SMBs and individual users get traffic through videos/lives.

  1. Before Promote

a. What's the requirement of using Promote?

  • Age threshold: Users aged 18+
  • Account type: Business account, Creator account and Personal account
  • App Version: v20.4 and above for both Android and iOS.
  • The BGM of the video should be commercial music or your video cannot be promoted.
  • Launched countries & regions:
      Promote to video
      Full launched: ID, TH, JP, AU, KR, US, CA, GB, DE, FR, IT, ES, PL, SA, AE, EG, TR, VN, MY, BR

      Promote to live

      b. How to recharge TikTok balance?

      for IOS users / UK users Android user

      1. You have to bind your credit card first.

      • Use Coins as the unit for setting the Promote budget.
      • The exchange rate : 100Coins = $0.99

Or you can click 'Promote' directly if you are a personal account. After clicking 'Promote' you can enter the promote central page, then choose a video to Promote You can find the Promote Coupons in [Your offers] if you have, after clicking 'Redeem' you can choose a video to Promote

          b. How to promote E-Commerce Anchors?

          For videos with e-commercial anchor, you can promote your anchor directly or choose other 2 different objects, more video view or more followers.

          		The creation of other 2 objects is the same as promoting videos without anchor.

          d. What kind of payment method does Promote support?

          What`s the definition of IAP and Non IAP:
          • is a business model where users can purchase virtual goods.
          • This requirement will include two parts as below: integration with TikTok Coins；Integrationg with IAP
          • TikTok Coins is a digital currency in TikTok and can be used to purchase gift for the creator in a live stream. Users can only get TikTok Coins through IAP. After we integrate promote with Coins, TikTok Coins can be used both in Livestream and promote.

              1. If my video is suspended, will the coupon be returned？
                • Once the promotion order starts to be consumed,the coupon will not be returned;
              2. Can I purchase promote for less than or equal to the coupon？
                • No, promote coupons can only be used if it costs more than the coupon.

                  f. Can I pause promote order?

                  No, users cannot suspend the plan at this stage. We will add more details after this function being on-lined.

                  Enter the promote central page Swipe down and choose the promotion orders that you want to check You can check the amount spent and analytics of your promotion order.

                  c. What about the money that hasn't been spent yet?

                  The rest of money that haven't been used to promote will be returned to your TikTok balance in 15 minutes.

                  d. How to withdraw?

                  • Withdraw in TikTok is only supported for Android devices. For IOS devices and UK users, the coin balance can only be withdrawn in Apple Pay or Google Pay.
                  • Android process:
                  Clicking '...' on the upper right corner on 'Promotions' home page and selecting 'Withdraw Balance' will allow you to redeem any unused balance. You can only withdraw your balance after your account no longer has any ongoing Promote service. After the service ends, it would take several hours for the system to calculate your unused balance, at which point you will be able to withdraw the unused balance.

                  The expected time from the withdrawal request to the receipt of the refund is 15 working days, and there may be delays in some extreme cases.
