Product Titles
A product title should be complete, accurate, and concise.A clear title helps customers quickly understand what you're selling.
Include the following information:
- Brand name (only if you are authorised to sell the brand)
- Product type
- Material or main ingredient (if applicable)
- Key features or characteristics (e.g., colour, function, variant)
- Quantity or volume (e.g., net weight, capacity, pack size). If multiple varieties or sizes are sold under the same listing, clearly list all available options (e.g., 100 ml / 150 ml / 200 ml).
Good Examples:
- Brand A Floral Perfume 15ml / 100ml
- Brand B Cotton Crewneck T-shirt - White (Pack of 3)
- Brand C Green Tea Facial Cleanser 100ml (New Packaging)
- Marketing material, promotions, or any other information that is not descriptive of the product itself (for example, "x% off").
- Seller URLs
- Seller names
- Branding or references to "TikTok" (without TikTok's prior authorisation), or other e-commerce platforms or websites.
- Symbols or special characters.
Product Descriptions
A product's description allows you to provide additional information about the product. Remember to include all product information required by applicable laws and regulations.Here are some guidelines to follow:
- Describe the main characteristics of the product(s) (e.g. features, functions, components, quantities).
- Be no less than 30 words.
- Be clearly written to help customers make an informed decision.
- Include applicable product safety information, specifications, and warnings. This is particularly relevant for certain product categories (for example food supplements).
- State the product and all accompanying accessories (i.e. "What's in the box"). For example, if a wireless speaker is sold together with a USB charger, each item should be listed clearly.
Product Images & Videos
Uploaded product images and videos need to be an authentic reflection of what customers will receive once a purchase is made. In particular, it must be ensured that customers are not misled by untrue images, videos or omissions.The following technical requirements apply to all images and videos included in product listings on TikTok Shop:
All Images
- Images need to be at least 600 x 600 pixels
- Product must not be obscured
- Images must be in colour
- Images must be high-quality (not blurry or pixelated)
- Each image must show a different angle of the product
- You may upload up to 9 square images.
- Select one image to be the primary product image. This image should show the front view of the physical product.
- Additional images should show the side, back, and other details of the product, including product accessories (if any).
Primary image
This refers to the the first image displayed to users.- Product image background needs to be a solid colour (white is recommended)
- The product should take up at least 60% of the image frame
- Product image should show the product in its entirety (i.e. must not be cropped to show only a portion of the product).
Video(s)
- You may upload up to 1 video for each product listing, which must not exceed 5MB.

The guidelines above are intended to help you ensure your promotional content and products accurately match one another. Below are some common mistakes that are made when listing products.
