Book Category Listing Requirements
The Book category is currently an Invite-Only category. Sellers may only list products in this category after completing the invite-only onboarding process, which requires submitting the necessary supporting documents through Seller Centerby navigating to My Account > Account Settings > Qualification Center.
To obtain approval for the Book category, invited sellers must submit the required supporting documents before listing any book products.Document Requirements
Domestic Books / Vietnamese-Language Books
Scenario 1: You are a Publisher or Distributor
Submit the following documents:- Business Registration Certificate (required for private publishers), and
- Decision on Publisher Establishment or Certificate of Registration for Publication Distribution Activities, and
Scenario 2: You are a Distribution Agent
Submit the following documents:- Business Registration Certificate, and
- One of the following:
- Distribution Authorization Letter;
- Valid Distributor Guarantee Letter;
- Purchase/Sale Contract issued within the past 6 months with a minimum value of VND 20 million; or
- Valid Framework Contract.
- and
- One or more VAT invoices issued by the publisher within the past 6 months, with a combined value of at least VND 20 million.
Scenario 3: You are a Self-Published Author
Submit the following documents:- Business Registration Certificate, and
- Certificate of Copyright Registration, and
- Publication Decision.
Special Scenario: You are a Distributor Working with a Publisher and Printing Facility
This scenario applies to distributors who work with both a publisher and a printing facility to print and sell publications (for example, religious scripture books).Submit the following documents:- Business Registration Certificate, and
- Joint Publishing–Printing Contract that clearly identifies all three parties:
- Publisher
- Distributor (Seller)
- Printing Facility
- and
- Certificate of Publication Registration issued by the affiliated publisher for the publication listed in the Publication Decision, and
- Publication Decision issued by the affiliated publisher, and
- One or more VAT invoices issued by the printing facility with a combined value of at least VND 20 million.
- The Publisher and Distributor information must be consistent across all submitted documents. Applications containing inconsistent entity information will be rejected.
- If you are a Distribution Agent, please confirm with your Publisher or Distributor that they have already submitted their authorization template, contract template, or guarantee letter template to TikTok Shop before submitting your application.
- If the Publisher or Distributor has not yet submitted their document template to TikTok Shop, your supporting documents may be rejected during the review process.
- New Publishers and Distributors should submit their document templates and provide complete information through the Registration Link for additional review before sellers submit their applications.
Foreign-Language Books
Scenario 1: You are an Importer
Submit the following documents:- Business Registration Certificate, Enterprise Registration Certificate, or Investment Certificate, and
- License for Publication Import Business Activities (Form No. 26) or Certificate of Registration for Publication Import for Business Purposes (Form No. 29).
Scenario 2: You are an Authorized Distributor of an Importer
You must submit two complete sets of documents: one for the Importer and one for your business (the Distributor).Document Set 1: ImporterSubmit the following documents:- Business Registration Certificate, Enterprise Registration Certificate, or Investment Certificate of the Importer, and
- License for Publication Import Business Activities (Form No. 26) or Certificate of Registration for Publication Import for Business Purposes (Form No. 29) issued to the Importer.
- Business Registration Certificate, Enterprise Registration Certificate, or Investment Certificate of the Distributor, and
- One of the following:
- Distribution Authorization Letter;
- Purchase/Sale Contract issued within the past 6 months; or
- VAT Invoice issued within the past 6 months.
- The combined value of one or more Purchase/Sale Contracts or one or more VAT Invoices must be at least VND 20 million.
- Only Tier-1 Distributors (distributors that procure products directly from the Importer) are eligible to apply. Applications from Tier-2 or lower-level distributors will not be accepted.
- Only VAT Invoices issued directly by the Importer will be accepted.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I check the result of my category qualification?
Sellers will receive the results via the Qualification Center in Seller Center.
Why was my application rejected?
- TTS reviews documents based on the requirements in Section 1 above.
- Please submit documents in accordance with the requirements (carefully verify the Seller's distribution role and provide the correct and complete document types as illustrated).
Why does the result show my shop "Category Approved" but I still cannot list products?
If the official list shows "Category Approved" but the Seller still cannot list products, please wait an additional 5–7 days for the system to complete the category activation update.
If TTS has already approved my category, do I need to provide additional documents to sell new books?
- The category team understands that many Sellers need to expand their business and source books from different publishers after initial category registration. Currently, TTS does not have a mandatory policy requiring Sellers to submit additional documents for new listed products. TTS will notify Sellers if this policy is updated in the future.
- Sellers who wish to list books from publishers not yet registered with the category may still list new products from unregistered publishers without submitting a new category qualification. During this period, Sellers should await policy announcements from TTS for future supplementary submissions.
