Avoid promoting these products:
  • Slimming and fat loss products - E.g. pills, beverages, patches, creams, oils.
  • High-risk muscle gain products - E.g. anabolic precursors, prohormones, growth hormone peptides.
Avoid making these claims:
  • Misleading weight loss claims - Do not make exaggerated promises, showcase extreme transformations, or use body-shaming language.
  • Exaggerated muscle building claims - Avoid making unrealistic statements about muscle growth such as "Gain 10kg of muscle in 10 days", "Gain muscle fast", "Bulk up quickly", or showcase exaggerated before-and-after depictions of muscle gain.
⚠️ Content that focuses mainly on weight loss or muscle gain claims may face traffic restrictions.

✅ Allowed

  • Promoting non-medical weight gain products - E.g. milk, honey, supplements.
  • Mentioning non-exaggerated weight loss or muscle gain effects in your promotional content.
    • These mentions are only allowed when paired with broader health benefits. They cannot be the main focus of your content.
    • For example: Creatine, protein powders, and similar products may be promoted if the focus is on overall wellness or athletic performance and not solely on appearance changes.

What is a weight management claim?

A weight management claim refers to any statement or suggestion that a product can assist in weight loss, fat loss, or muscle gain. These claims can appear in various formats, such as written text, audio, video, descriptions, or hashtags.

Note: Having certification or awards demonstrating a product's weight loss or gain effects does not exempt it from following these rules.

How can I avoid making weight management claims?

Here's how to promote responsibly:
  • Be balanced. Focus on the range of health benefits, not just weight loss or muscle gain. Always mention that results may vary!
  • Be realistic. Use clear and honest claims that reflect the true value of your product (e.g. "Strengthens natural defenses and boosts energy levels" rather than "Lose weight fast!"). Promote healthy choices and active lifestyles!
  • Be compliant. Follow all product listing & content guidelines and applicable laws. Avoid making misleading or exaggerated claims.

We allow factual, non-exaggerated claims about general health benefits for these products, such as claims that ingredients can help reduce the appearance of cellulite or improve appetite. When promoting these products, please be sure to avoid medical misinformation or misleading claims.

Fitness supplements are designed to complement an individual's diet and exercise routine with specific nutrients to support their overall fitness goals. We allow claims about the general health benefits for these products, including explanations about how ingredients support recovery and sports performance.

What is Okay
  • "Improves athletic performance"
  • "Replenish essential amino acids"

Low calorie/fat/sugar food and drinks

Low calorie/fat/sugar food and drinks are products that provide a relatively small amount of calories per serving compared to other options. We allow the promotion of low calorie products as a healthier alternative to other food options.
What to Avoid
  • "Eat just these vegetable chips for extreme weight loss"
  • "Low sugar coffee helps you achieve drastic fat loss"
What is Okay
  • Contains stevia to "help your sweet tooth"
  • Sugar replacement to "use instead of sugar"
  • Presenting nutritional information, such as saying "zero calories", "low sugar", "no sugar", "high fibre", "only 80kcals per packet!"
  • "This low calorie option is tasty and helps support a healthy diet"

Clothes

It is allowed to promote shapewear and clothing that have a brief slimming effect while wearing the product. However, do not promote products such as waist trainers for weight loss purposes, where the mechanism involves altering internal body structure for a certain body shape.

  • "Wear this waist trainer and you'll become skinny"
  • "Using this waist trainer, I went from size M to XS"

  • "This shapewear is great, I love how it makes this dress fit"

Body Scales and Food Scales

We allow promoting body weight measuring equipment and food scales. However, avoid making prohibited weight loss claims when promoting these products.
What to Avoid
  • "If you're worried about getting fat, then you should try this body weight scale"
  • "Track every gram of food to get skinny fast"
  • "I use these food scales to restrict my diet to very low calories"
What is Okay
  • "These body scales are convenient to use and measure body fat too"
  • "I use these food scales to measure out flour when baking"

What happens if I breach these guidelines?
